Welcome to the Farm Resource Center

The Farm Resource Center at Food Well Alliance equips urban farmers across metro Atlanta with tools they need to succeed.

We offer a variety of resources and direct support throughout the year:

Tools

Check out BCS tractors and attachments through our partnership with the Atlanta ToolBank. Start by registering for a training session.

Mechanical Assistance

Have a bigger project for your farm? Tractor operator Small Farmer at Large can help. See how to request mechanical assistance.

Farm Labor Support

We currently offer farm support through our Farm Labor Stipends. Learn more about eligibility and how to apply.

Farm Compost

The 2025 compost delivery request period is now closed. Requests will reopen in 2026, so stay tuned for more information.

Farm Grants

Every year, Food Well Alliance distributes two types of grants to farmers in the five-county metro Atlanta area. The Farm Forward Grant provides $25,000 to two farmers annually to support large-scale projects. The Farm Support Grant offers $8,000 to multiple farms to fund smaller improvements.

By offering two grants, Food Well can reach more farms while also investing in larger projects that enable farmers to scale and strengthen their businesses so they can continue providing healthy, local food to communities.

Applications open each fall, with funds distributed ahead of the following spring growing season.

Request an Orchard Planing

Food Well is dedicated to increasing the sustainability of community gardens and urban farms. We believe community orchards are a powerful way to grow long-term food access, especially in spaces where food production hasn’t yet taken root.

Farms can apply for an orchard planting at no cost. In return, the orchard must directly benefit the surrounding community through food donations, public harvests, or community education. Learn more about eligibility and submit your application here.
