FFood Well Alliance is an Atlanta-based nonprofit with a straightforward mission: to provide resources and support to local growers while helping build healthier, more connected communities.
The organization is a leading advocate for local food system plans — formerly known as City Agriculture Plans. The plans outline policy and program recommendations designed to strengthen a city’s local food system over a three- to five-year period. When implemented thoughtfully, supporters say these plans can deliver social, economic and environmental benefits. Success, however, depends on collaboration among a wide range of stakeholders, including local governments and growers.
