The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is a yearly multi-state community event that calls on citizen scientists to count important pollinating insects to support conservation and research efforts across the southeastern United States.
Legacy Park and its nonprofit tenants have been hard a work the last two years establishing native plant gardens. This free, inaugural event will include 3 different pollinator counting stations, an indoor cooling station, a garden-inspired art project, and snacks and drinks. Come out and experience Legacy Park and get to know your local pollinators!
This event is hosted by Trellis Horticultural Therapy Alliance, Decatur Legacy Park, and Decatur Community Habitat.
