Belgian Waffle Exchange is Hiring

The Belgian Waffle Exchange, a dynamic new local food startup, seeks an equally dynamic and responsible manager for their farmers market business.

BWE was founded by two very experienced social entrepreneurs. One is a Belgian businessman with a professional history in cancer treatment. The other is an American journalist and cook, who’s worked in some of the world’s most celebrated restaurant kitchens. Together, we’re committed to bringing ethical, financially sound, socially vibrant food businesses to life. We know how to set our team members up to succeed, and we believe in empowering our team to think for themselves and OWN the work that they do. That’s why we’ve set up a series of lunchtime workshops on specific topics of running a successful food business, that any team member is welcome to join.

BWE is fast out of the gate this season with a buzz-generating presence at four local farmers markets: Grant Park, Decatur, East Atlanta, and Peachtree Road. We’re seeking to hire a Market Manager with the enthusiasm, responsibility, and vision to handle these commitments and help us continue to grow at festivals and events throughout the year.

The BWX Market Manager, first, must possess the spirit of hospitality. They take pleasure in serving others, and in bringing good, whole food to the public.

The Market Manager must be a licensed driver, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and be familiar with ServSafe guidelines. Familiarity with farmers markets and the local food system a plus.
