Tour de Farm 2016 (Columbus/ Harris County)

This year we will be touring farms in Columbus and Harris County. Each day's ride will be 50-55 miles. Click here to see route map.

*Please note this will be a challenging ride with hilly terrain. Recommended for intermediate and above experienced riders.

Tentative Schedule

Friday

4 p.m. - Registration and Check-in at Woodruff Park (1000 Bay Avenue, Columbus GA)

  • Camping will be available Friday night at Woodruff Park in downtown Columbus for those who want to arrive Friday evening.

  • Dinner on your own.

Saturday

7-8 a.m. Registration and Check-In at Woodruff Park (1000 Bay Avenue, Columbus GA)

  • 7-8 a.m. Breakfast

  • Visit the 2016 opening day of Market Days on Broadway - local farmers selling their produce

  • A behind the scenes tour of a new farm-to-table restaurant.

  • Begin Again Horse Farm tour and lunch.

  • Meat and Greet at Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park. Happy Hour before supper - live music, games, corn hole tournament. Supper catered by White Oak Pastures.

  • Camping at FDR State Park

Sunday

Lodging Information

Camping will be available both Friday and Saturday nights. We will haul all your camping gear.

  • Friday - tent camping at Woodruff Park in Columbus

  • Saturday - tent camping or bunk house at FDR State Park. The bunk house sleeps about 75 people; you will need to bring sleeping bag or blankets and pillows. Showers and restrooms available at bunk house.

If you prefer something a little less rustic, you can make your own reservations at one of the nearby hotels in Columbus for Friday night and for one of the cottages at FDR State Park on Saturday night.

Meat and Greet on Saturday night

Join us after the ride for a Meat and Greet at FDR State Park. It will be an evening of fun, good food, live music, campfire, corn hole games. Supper will feature organic food from White Oak Pastures and adult beverages from Omaha BrewingRealtree Outdoors will provide demonstrations and games. The Meat and Greet is included in your ride registration. The Meat and Greet is open to the community and guests of the riders ($25 per person).

Day Trips

Day trips are available for $70 each day. When you register please select which day you will ride.

*You must arrange your own transportation if you select the day trip option.

Registration

The registration fee is $110 for the full weekend and includes camping, meals, farm tours and the Meat and Greet on Saturday night.

For those not camping the registration fee is $95. You must make your own lodging accommodations.

Registration deadline is Friday, March 25.
