Summer Plant. Eat. Repeat Astro-Fain Community Garden

Join the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Food Well Alliance as we continue our Plant. Eat. Repeat. workshops focused on water conservation in the garden. This summer, join us at Astro-Fain Community Garden to learn about mulching and drip irrigation!

What we'll cover:

  • The pros and cons of different mulch subtrates

  • Tips for effective mulching

  • How to use and maintain a drip irrigation system

You’ll leave with smart, sustainable strategies to protect your plants from heat and drought, while also reducing your water use.

Bonus: Free Mulch!

The Astro-Fain garden has kindly offered to share their woodchips!

After learning about all of the benefits of mulching, bring some buckets, bags or containers to take some mulch home with you!

Getting to the Garden
The Astro-Fain Community Garden is located at the corner on Hemphill School Road and Delmar Lane. There is a gated entrance that will be open for the workshop and a large, unpaved parking area directly in front of the garden. Restrooms are available .2 miles away at the Adamsville-Collier Heights Library.
