What is "plirding"? Inspired by “plogging” (picking up trash while jogging), “plirding” is picking up litter while birding. Every Sunday morning from 9:30–11:00am, join Park Naturalist & Talkin’ Birds Ambassador Tasha Messer for “plirding”—picking up litter while birding. These rotating walks through Constitution Lakes Park, Glen Emerald Park, and the Michelle Obama Trail are a chance to enjoy the birds, protect their habitats, and connect with community.
*Bring binoculars if you have them, a bag or gloves if you’d like, and your care for nature. Together, even small actions add up to healthier parks and safer spaces for wildlife.
