On Farm GAP & Food Safety Workshops: Infrastructure Solutions & Food Safety Handling, Packaging, Storage and Transport

New Communities, Global Growers, Common Market Georgia and the Georgia Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association present On-Farm GAP & Food Safety Workshops. The workshops will focus on practical farm infrastructure for small and limited-resource farms, packhouse management and wholesaler requirements for packaging.

When: June 29, 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm

Topics Covered: The morning workshop will focus on practical farm infrastructure for small and limited-resource farms. In the afternoon, we will discuss packhouse management and wholesaler requirements for packaging. Each workshop will feature a classroom section related to GAP practices and certification along with farm tour highlighting hands-on examples. Feel free to come to one or both.

Who: Workshops geared toward small and limited resource farmers in Georgia.

Cost: Suggested $5 donation – funds go toward raffle of Wholesale Success.

How to register: Email billy@globalgrowers.org to receive complete schedule and driving directions. Free coffee, tea, lunch and food safety templates provided to all participants. You can register for one or both workshops.
