Interested in installing drip irrigation at your farm or garden? Come learn more about this highly efficient method of watering your crops!
Join Community Foodscapes, the Historic District Development Corporation and Food Well Alliance for a hands-on irrigation workshop at HDDC's Rooftop Farm.
Learn how to design, install, and maintain a simple drip-irrigation system for raised beds growing vegetables, herbs, and flowers. This beginner-friendly workshop will cover the essential components of a system, including timers, filters, pressure regulators, tubing, fittings, and emitters. We’ll discuss how to lay out drip lines for different crops, adjust watering as plants and seasons change, and prevent common problems such as leaks, clogs, and uneven watering.
Participants will leave with the knowledge and confidence to plan and install an efficient drip-irrigation system in their own garden, thus saving time, reducing water waste, and delivering water directly to plant roots for stronger, healthier plants.
