Cover Crop 'til You Drop Workshop

Food Well Alliance is teaming up with Farmer Jeff from Souper Jenny's Farm to teach a workshop on the importance of Cover crops in farming.

During this workshop, you'll learn:

  • The benefits of planting cover crops

  • How they contribute to soil health

  • Their capacity to be an economic crop

  • Seeding techniques for perfect germination

Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of cover crops, effective usage, and see real-life examples at Souper Jenny's Farm. Everyone will also receive various cover crop seeds and educational guides to take home.

Plus, we're also hosting a Compost Giveaway on the same day! Stop by 970 Jefferson St NW to load up on compost before the heading to Souper Jenny's farm for the workshop. The Compost Giveaway is open from 10 am - 3 pm.
