  • 225 Chester Avenue Southeast Atlanta, GA, 30316 United States (map)

The 2019 Atlanta Canopy Conference will explore: Food Forest Revolution! Please register today (at to join us at Trees Atlanta on Thurs., Feb. 14, 2019.

Have you heard the term 'Food Forest'? A food forest is defined as an edible ecosystem designed and managed to provide food, medicine, fuel, and habitat for all of its community members.

Is it possible that Atlanta, the " City in the Forest" is actually a food forest in itself?

What does it mean if it is?

There are as many questions about food forests as there are answers, but it's clear that there is a momentum to create abundant ecosystems within our cities. This year, Trees Atlanta will be diving into the world of sustainable foods and food forests with keynote speakers Dave Jacke (landscape designer and author of Edible Forest Gardens) and Janisse Ray (naturalist and author of Ecology of a Cracker Childhood), along with notable local practitioners and subject matter experts during the full-day conference. Please register online at (Tiered registration fees offered; City of Atlanta residents eligible for limited number of scholarships through their Council Member's office.)
