Food Well Alliance, Park Pride, and the Atlanta Botanical Garden have partnered to launch a new series of seasonal workshops at community gardens across metro Atlanta. Whether you’re a novice or a gardening pro, come prepared to learn from experts who will provide hands-on teaching and demonstrations.

Fall Garden Workshop Curriculum:

Moe Hemmings, Community Outreach Manager at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, will bring the fun and provide a hands-on workshop that will cover:

Edible Perennials

  • Trees, shrubs, herbs and vegetables

Compost and Vermiculture

  • Onsite compost and various methods encouraging worms and other aspects of vermiculture

Winterizing Your Garden

  • Seed saving, seed storage, types of cover crops, topdressing, hardscapes, and mulching

Locally-sourced refreshments provided!
