Smash Don't Trash 2019

  • Wild Geaven Beer 1020 White Street Sw Atlanta, Ga (map)

CompostNow, Fresh Harvest & Wild Heaven Beer are teaming up again to fight scary Halloween food waste!

Most of the 1.3 billion pounds of pumpkins produced in the U.S. end up in the landfill. Those nutrients are too precious to waste which is why we're hosting our 2nd annual community event “Smash Don’t Trash” on Saturday, November 2nd from 12pm-3pm at Wild Heaven Beer - West End.

Community members are encouraged to bring their old pumpkins to be composted rather than landfilled! The event will host a pumpkin smashing station and music by the very talented LIFEFIRE9 and DJ MASTERPEACEBEATS. There will also be delicious beer available for purchase. All compost created from “Smash Don’t Trash” will be shared with our friends at Fresh Harvest to be used in their garden.

All are welcome! Join us for a smashing good time!

Nitty Gritty Details: Please limit 1 pumpkin per person. We cannot accept any pumpkins with candles, aluminum foil, or other non-compostable decorations inside them. We cannot accept any painted or be-dazzled pumpkins (unless you remove it first!). Parents are required to stay with their children while they participate.
