Preserving Abundance: A Food Waste and Fermentation Weekend

Join some of the top talent in fermentation, including Sandor Katz and Kirsten Shockey, for a weekend of hands on workshops, demonstrations, and conversation, all geared to help you reduce food waste in your home. 

Presenters include: 
Sandor Katz (fermentation revivalist + James Beard Award winning author of Art of Fermentation and Wild Fermentation)
Julia Skinner (owner of Atlanta's Root Kitchens; food historian and fermenter)
Kirsten Shockey (fermentation author and co-founder of Ferment.Works)
Cheryl Paswater (owner of Contraband Ferments in Brooklyn)
Jillian Ross (The Ferment Lady; Florida-based ferments and education)

Kirsten: Hands on with Koji Ferments
Cheryl: Homemade Vinegars and Shrubs
Sandor: Grain-based ferments

Sunday Schedule:
Cheryl and Kirsten: Koji Basics

Sandor: Beyond Sauerkraut: Further Adventures in Vegetable Fermentation
