One thing that everyone in Atlanta's local food movement can agree on is the potential for Atlanta to be a leading city in the local food system. This is obvious with the passion and commitment that many local food enthusiasts demonstrate through their professional work and personal ethics.

During our Soil Festival in August, Cathy Huyghe, author of "Hungry for Wine," got an opportunity to record opinions on the local food movement from three local food leaders including: Bill Bolling, who founded Atlanta Community Food Bank 36 years ago and now serves as the chair of Food Well Alliance; Safia Icgoren, wife of Nuri Icgoren who founded Urban Sprout Farms two years ago; and Mitch Sheridan an Atlanta newcomer and farmer looking to grow within the city's perimeter.
