I am excited to announce the launch of new Atlanta organization, Food Well Alliance. We are a community of supportive partners, or what we fondly refer to as opportunity-makers, who convene and collaborate to build healthier communities by using local food as a transformational tool.
Today, Food Well Alliance announces its first initiative to provide financial support to projects, initiatives, and innovations that enhance food security, conserve the local landscape, increase community connections, promote physical activity, and improve access to locally-grown food.
Two unique grant opportunities are now available to those committed to building a healthy, resilient and just local food system in Atlanta, including local community organizers, educators and local food entrepreneurs.
To learn more about the "Local Food" grant and the "Community & Educational Garden" grant and to download applications, visit www.foodwellalliance.org.
Please share these exciting grant opportunities with your local network. Food Well Alliance will announce its awardees in March 2015; like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to stay informed.
We look forward to working together to build healthier communities across Metro Atlanta. Thank you for your support!
