Mulberry Fields Gone Wylde is an annual event held at Wylde Center's 5th garden, Mulberry Fields located in the Atlanta Candler Park neighborhood. Family friendly, the event features food and drink vendors, live music, face painting, and games for children.
This is a FREE family event and a wonderful way to learn about the educational programs that our natural urban agricultural center has to offer! These include, but are not limited to: gardening classes, learning tours and summer camp sessions.
The streets of Atlanta will spring to life on Sunday, April 8th as a 4.4-mile stretch of street from Downtown to Lake Claire is opened to people on foot and bike, and closed to motorized traffic (except for intersections where cars will be free to cross.)
Join a Fernbank scientist to explore Fernbank Forest, a 65-acre mature mixed-hardwood forest located in the heart of metro Atlanta. Participants will explore the diversity of native wildflowers and learn to identify them by their leaves and flowers.
Come visit a real-life science lab—an organic farm! Families will have the opportunity to explore the science of a real farm right inside the city. Come prepared to romp on this beautiful farm, get your hands a little dirty, and learn about food and farming. We will have plenty of kid-friendly activities. Dress for the weather, and bring your own water and snacks.
Discover the fabulous world of plants and animals at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Hands on stations focusing on the natural world will introduce toddlers to life science concepts such as metamorphosis and plant diversity. Sprouting scientists will also notice changes in the garden as it emerges from its winter slumber. Come and run among the spring blooms, listen to bird songs, and have fun at our specially designed stations. Great field trip opportunity!
