Learn to grow your own food with HABESHA Works

HABESHA is now accepting applications for their urban agriculture training opportunity, HABESHA Works.

HABESHA Works is a training initiative that teaches basic skills in urban organic agriculture and agro-business. This program begins with an intensive 14-week course that introduces various agriculture concepts and explores opportunities for business development in this emerging green industry. Some course topics include:

  • Principles of Organic Gardening
  • Garden Design and Management
  • Organic Produce: Health and Nutrition
  • Business Opportunities in Urban Agriculture

Upon successful completion of this course, selected students will participate in additional training that includes the advisement on operating an urban farm, teaching and training others, and developing an agro-business plan.
