Food Well Alliance is excited to announce the design team partners for the 2016 Collaborative Design Initiative, which will provide leadership training and development for community garden leaders.
As members of Food Well Alliance, the nine-member design team will inform the investment of up to $100,000 to support community garden leaders by expanding access to educational resources and tools to sustain gardens in urban neighborhoods.
Our city's community and educational gardens are beacons of light in their surrounding neighborhoods. They build lasting connections among neighbors, designate areas for environmental conservation, and increase access to fresh, healthy produce.
Better trained leadership will lead to more successful gardens with increased community engagement and food production. This initiative will grow more community support for gardens in neighborhoods across the 5 county (Cobb, Clayton, DeKalb, Fulton, and Gwinnett) metro Atlanta region.
